AWS is looking for best in class OSP Design Engineers and Geospatial Analysts to help build one of the world’s largest and most complex networks. Amazon Web Services is looking for a highly motivated, technically savvy Fiber Engineer to help develop and scale one of the world’s largest and most complex networks.

As a OSP Design Engineer, you will have the exciting opportunity to plan and design fiber network solutions using fiber optic infrastructure inventory in GIS and associated tools. You will:
- - Interface with internal (Data Center Engineering, Business Developers, Deployment Engineers, Tool Automation) and external stakeholders (Construction Vendors, Engineering Firms, )
- - Create network solutions and plans for your region
- - Create engineering design and documents, single line drawings, cable routing, and splicing work packages in a GIS system
- - Ingest and audit GIS data for completeness and accuracy .
- - Optimize processes to improve efficiency and delivery.
- - Willing to travel 10% of the time

Basic qualifications
- - 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience
- - Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Network Engineering), or experience in professional or military IT-related roles
- - 2+ years experience working in GIS Systems.
- - 2+ years of data, inventory, or records management.
Preferred qualifications
- 2+ years of data, inventory, or records management in GIS Systems.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
