Outside Brands is looking for a Retail Manager to lead our Shelter Cove store on Hilton Head Island. This is a hands-on opportunity for a retail leader who is just as comfortable coaching a team as they are welcoming guests, sharing product knowledge, and keeping the store looking its best.

What You’ll Do

Lead and develop a great team

• •Recruit, train, coach, and support retail employees.
• •Set clear expectations, recognize great work, and help team members grow.
• •Lead by example on the sales floor and create a positive, collaborative environment.
• •Hold team meetings and keep everyone connected to store goals and company initiatives.

Create exceptional guest experiences

• •Welcome guests, build lasting relationships, and make every visit memorable.
• •Share your product knowledge and help guests find the right products for their adventures.
• •Coach your team to deliver thoughtful, knowledgeable service that keeps guests coming back.
• •Listen to customers and identify ways to strengthen engagement and loyalty.

Drive sales and store performance

• •Set and work toward sales goals while keeping an eye on profitability and operating expenses.
• •Monitor sales trends, customer shopping patterns, and opportunities to grow the business.
• •Help create a strong product mix that reflects our brand and meets guest needs.
• •Partner with retail leadership to put sales, marketing, and education strategies into action.

Keep the store looking and running its best

• •Maintain an inviting, organized, and well-stocked sales floor.
• •Support merchandising initiatives and ensure displays reflect Outside’s brand standards.
• •Help protect store inventory and support loss-prevention practices.
• •Stay current on retail trends, competitors, and opportunities in the local market.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• •At least two years of retail leadership experience or experience in a related field.
• •A high school diploma or equivalent; some college is preferred.
• •A passion for customer service and building genuine relationships.
• •The ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team.
• •A business-minded approach to sales goals and store performance.
• •Strong communication, organization, and computer skills.
• •A hands-on, team-oriented approach and the ability to adapt in a busy retail environment.
• •The ability to stand and move throughout the store and lift or carry up to 35 pounds.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on retail position. The person in this role must be able to:

• •Frequently stand and move throughout the store and surrounding areas.
• •Lift and carry merchandise or other items weighing up to 35 pounds .
• •Handle products, merchandise, and store equipment.
• •Use a computer and keyboard to prepare correspondence, reports, and other materials.
• •Communicate with guests, team members, and other business partners.
