Packer - Day shift

Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• •Pulls and stacks product based on daily orders.
• •Packs product in designated polybag and corrugate boxes according to company specifications
• •Verify product counts and ensure accurate quantities are packed and labeled correctly
• •Stack and organize finished goods on pallet according to approved pallet configuration
• •Keeps products separated, organized, and in good rotation.
• •Monitors product quality throughout the packing process and promptly report defects, contamination concerns or safety issues.
• •Operate various pieces of equipment such as pallet wrappers & pallet jacks
• •Report any mechanical problems.
• •Utilizes continuous-improvement mindset and assists in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
• •Follows Good Manufacturing Practices and required work-safe practices.
• •Maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
• •Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Skills and Abilities:

• •Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• •Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced production environment
• •Ability to work efficiently and meet production deadlines.
• •Minimum of six months of experience in distribution or manufacturing preferred
• •Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time.
• •Ability to work safely in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise and moving equipment.
• •Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
