Part-Time Backroom Processing Associate – HomeSense

Holiday Hiring

HomeSense is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented Part-Time Backroom Processing Associate to join our team. In this role, you’ll help ensure merchandise is processed efficiently and accurately while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe backroom environment.

What You’ll Do

• •Process incoming merchandise efficiently and accurately
• •Unpack, sort, and prepare merchandise for the sales floor
• •Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded
• •Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment
• •Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient backroom
• •Follow established merchandising and processing procedures and standards
• •Move merchandise from the backroom to the sales floor as needed
• •Assist with maintaining merchandise flow throughout the store
• •Follow recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste procedures
• •Support store shrink-reduction goals and programs
• •Follow all labor laws, company policies, and procedures
• •Maintain a safe working environment and follow all safety procedures
• •Work cooperatively with fellow Associates and Management
• •Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback
• •Perform other duties as assigned

• •Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
• •Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
• •Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• •Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
• •Team player who works effectively with peers and supervisors
• •Comfortable working in a physically active environment
• •Capable of lifting and moving merchandise with or without reasonable accommodation
• •Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
• •Previous retail or backroom experience is preferred, but not required

Schedule

Part-Time | Backroom Processing Monday Through Sunday

• Morning Shift:
• 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Evening Shift:
• 4:00 PM – 9:30 PM

• Mid-November through Christmas:
• 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Applicants should be comfortable working a flexible schedule, including weekends and holiday periods.
