Role Overview:

• •Contributes to the upkeep and safety of the laboratory and assures a clean, safe, adequately supplied work area. Maintains adequate inventories of reagents and supplies.
• •Participates in monitoring and reporting QC. Acquires thorough knowledge of applicable standards and regulations.
• •Oversees the laboratory's LIS responsibilities. Maintains knowledge and understanding of LIS systems.
• •Reviews requisitions and orders, verifies accuracy of corresponding specimens, documents specimen collection information in LIS, accurately, and updates, as necessary.
• •Assists laboratory management to design and set-up new assays, to choose analytical methods, as well as to establish and optimize operational protocols.
• •Maintains complete, accurate, legible, neat, organized, up-to-date records/logs/files.

Key Qualifications:

• •A Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Lab Sciences or Medical Technology required.
• •2+ years of clinical laboratory experience
• •A current New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License required
• •ASCP preferred

Pay Range: $47.23 - $75.59
