Part-Time Seasonal Healing Farm Project Manager

Hours: 3–8 hours/week | Duration: 8–10 months | Position: Part-Time, Seasonal

About the Role

Eliada is developing a new Healing Farm featuring outdoor classrooms, gardens, edible landscaping, gathering spaces, pathways, and other site improvements designed to support healing, education, and connection to nature.

We are seeking an organized, resourceful, and collaborative Project Manager to help coordinate the implementation of this exciting project over 8–10 months. This position will work closely with the permaculture designer, nonprofit leadership, farm staff, contractors, volunteers, and suppliers to keep the project moving forward efficiently and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

Project & Site Coordination

Coordinate implementation of the permaculture and landscape design.

Meet with the permaculture designer to review plans, priorities, hardscaping, equipment, and site needs.

Coordinate contractors, staff, volunteers, and other project partners.

Conduct periodic site walks and identify challenges or upcoming needs.

Track project tasks, decisions, and progress.

Budget & Resource Management

Track the project budget, purchases, invoices, and commitments.

Help ensure funds are used efficiently and strategically.

Research pricing and identify cost-saving opportunities through local sourcing, donations, reuse, and bulk purchasing.

Communicate budget concerns and changing needs to leadership.

Timeline & Seasonal Planning

Maintain an 8–10 month+ project timeline and upcoming task list.

Coordinate and schedule installation work around seasonal planting windows, weather, farm operations, and site conditions.

Identify delays or bottlenecks and help keep the project on track.

Plants, Materials & Procurement

Maintain plant lists, counts, inventory, and sourcing information.

Coordinate ordering of plants, soil amendments, compost, mulch, irrigation supplies, hardscape materials, tools, and other project needs.

Source from local nurseries, growers, suppliers, and vendors.

Monitor inventory and anticipate upcoming supply needs.

What Success Looks Like

The successful Project Manager will help ensure the Healing Farm moves smoothly from design to implementation, stays organized and on schedule, uses resources wisely, and has the plants, materials, people, and equipment needed at the right time.

Requirements

Preferred Experience

Experience in permaculture, landscaping, landscape architecture, hardscaping, horticulture, garden installation, farm management, or related fields is strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate is:

Highly organized, dependable, and proactive.

A strong communicator and problem-solver.

Comfortable working outdoors and on an active farm site.
