Part Time Senior Companion – Brookline, MA

A thoughtful family in Brookline, MA, is seeking a dependable and organized caregiver to provide weekly companionship, household support, and meal preparation for a fully functional 70-year-old adult. The care recipient lives in a location accessible by public transit, and all errands are within walking distance. The target start date for this position is December 1.

Schedule:

Wednesdays, approximately 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Approximately 5 hours per week

Family Specifications:

Smoke-free home

Pet-free household

Walking distance to local amenities and public transportation

Values an organized, detail-oriented caregiver who can help structure tasks through to completion

Responsibilities:

Plan, shop for, and prepare 1–2 nutritious meals per week that yield leftovers (from grocery shopping to final storage and full kitchen cleanup)

Perform grocery shopping on foot (either independently or together with the care recipient)

Assist with kitchen organization, including cleaning out the refrigerator

Complete laundry tasks

Provide warm, engaging companionship

Requirements:

Proven experience in senior companionship, meal preparation, or home support

Strong cooking and kitchen management skills

Ability to comfortably walk to nearby stores for grocery errands

Fluent in English

Compensation:

$25-$30 per hour
