the posting
At Liberis, our mission is to empower small and medium-sized businesses by removing finance as a friction to growth, delivering contextual, embedded financial solutions to support merchants at every stage of their business lifecycle.
The Role
Partner Managers at Liberis are responsible for owning and growing a portfolio of strategic embedded finance partners. The role is equal parts relationship management, growth-oriented, product expansion, and operational excellence with the goal to drive revenue and commercial value for the relationship.
As a Partner Manager, you will act as the primary point of contact for each partner - ensuring they deliver strong merchant engagement, achieve revenue goals, maintain operational quality, and expand the partnership into new product lines and merchant segments. You will strive to maximize the value of each partnership by driving sustainable, long-term commercial performance across the full merchant lifecycle, not just initial originations.
What you’ll be doing
Own strategic partner relationships: Be the main contact across your portfolio, building relationships from operational teams to senior decision-makers. Lead business reviews, roadmap discussions and performance deep-dives, acting as a trusted advisor on embedded finance.
Drive commercial performance: Ensure partners contribute through marketing, lead generation and a strong customer experience. Work with internal teams to achieve revenue goals and grow merchant adoption, product take-up, lifetime value, renewals and retention.
Expand partnerships: Identify opportunities for new financial products, merchant segments, geographies and business lines. Lead partner discussions and requirements gathering, assessing commercial viability, operational readiness, scalability and P&L impact.
Bring new initiatives to life: Work with Product and Partner Solutions to scope integrations, enhancements and delivery models. Coordinate launches and align teams on partner priorities, risks, dependencies and roadmap commitments.
Deliver operational excellence: Monitor integration health, data quality, underwriting flows and the merchant journey. Resolve escalations with Operations, Underwriting and Risk, tackle recurring issues and ensure partners meet agreed service levels.
Enable partner success: Collaborate with Marketing on joint campaigns, merchant education and content. Train partner sales and customer success teams on product value, eligibility and renewals, and drive adoption of dashboards and reporting tools.
Turn insights into growth: Own partner reporting, tracking funnel performance, renewals, portfolio quality and product adoption. Translate data into actionable recommendations and work with Business Development and Partnerships leadership on upsell, expansion and joint innovation.
What we think you'll need
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
5–10+ years of experience in fintech partnerships, embedded finance or lending platforms.
A track record of managing complex B2B2B or B2B2C fintech partnerships with accountability for commercial results.
Strong commercial and product judgement, with the ability to move multiple initiatives forward.
Confidence interpreting funnel data, renewals and financial metrics, and translating insights into action.
Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and delivering long-term initiatives.
Strong relationship-building, communication and influencing skills, from operational teams to senior decision-makers.
A hands-on understanding of embedded finance, lending workflows, underwriting and partner integrations.
