We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Our Mission is to revolutionise the care and treatment for patients facing the prospect of sight loss by creating a new national network of specialist eye clinics that have a seamless link with all optometrists and GPs.

We provide services for NHS ICBs, NHS Trusts and Foundation Trusts, and other providers of NHS funded services. We deliver over 125,000 patient interactions annually, including outpatient appointments, diagnostic testing and eye surgery. Our services are delivered through a variety of models including Managed Services and Ophthalmology Joint Venture (OJV) Partnerships.

We offer a flexible, rota-based working pattern designed to support both our team and the needs of the service. Shifts are scheduled between 07:30 and 18:00 , which can be worked as a 10 hour day or a mix of early and later finishes. You’ll receive your rota 2 month's in advance, helping you plan your time outside of work.

You’ll be expected to work one weekend day per month , which may be paid as overtime or included within your contracted hours.

From time to time, we run a late evening shift until 21:00 . You would also be expected to cover 1 per month - However, these are less common and always planned well ahead, with at least two months’ notice given.

We aim to create a fair and supportive rota, and we welcome open communication around availability wherever possible. Flexibility is appreciated, and in return we strive to provide as much notice and consistency as we can.

What are we offering you?

£26,520.00 per annum FTE

Up to 5% annual bonus. (Subject to criteria being met)

200 hours annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)

What skills and experience do I need?

We’ll provide training so experience isn’t always needed, but the following things will be advantageous:

Previous experience in a customer or patient facing role.

Experience in a busy administrative role.

A competent user of all Office 365 programmes.

Support daily administrative tasks.

To book patient appointments, ensuring that clinics are fully utilised, and appropriately utilised as per the booking rules for each specialty.

To make reminder calls to patients before their appointment is due, including the completion of the pre-screening surgical questionnaire.

Ensure that all clinic correspondence is sent out to the patient, optometrist and GP. This includes ensuring all correspondence is completed correctly in our Electronic Patient Record, liaising with the relevant clinician if not.

To use PowerBI reports to support daily tasks.

Action all clinic cancellations accordingly as instructed.

Tech savvy and comfortable working on new systems e.g. patient record systems.

An excellent phone manner.

An excellent grasp of the English language both verbally and in written format.

A good team player – happy to jump in and support others when required.

Driver's licence or willingness to travel occasionally to spoke sites on a rotational basis.
