Overlake Medical Center is currently seeking a Patient Care Technician/CNA for Critical Care Department. Our Critical Care Department is a 31-bed unit with a variety of specialties including open heart/thoracic surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, cardiology, pulmonary and general medical surgical. We encourage teamwork, patient advocacy and self-care. We are passionate regarding the care we provide. .6 FTE (48 hours per two-week pay period)
NIGHTS
12-Hour Shifts
Qualifications - PCT
- High school diploma preferred.
- Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program or equivalent documented nursing training experience required.
- Nursing Assistant Certification (NA-C) required.
- Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers Certification (BLS) require.
- Washington State Medical Assistant - Phlebotomist (MA-P) preferred or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- One-year recent experience in a health care setting involving patient contact preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and EKG preferred.
- Computer familiarity is preferred.
- Knowledge and handling of hospital equipment, record keeping.
- Ability to read, write, and speak in the English language.
- Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills.
