What will you be doing?

  • Lead end-to-end payroll delivery across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring accurate and timely pay, strong reconciliations, data integrity and effective payroll controls.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing payroll team, creating clear accountability, strong service standards and effective management of complex payroll issues and escalations.
  • Own payroll compliance, governance and risk, ensuring legislative and regulatory requirements are met, audits are effectively managed and robust controls are maintained across the payroll lifecycle.
  • Drive payroll transformation and continuous improvement, leveraging technology, automation and data while partnering with People & Communications, Finance, Legal and business leaders to improve efficiency, controls and the employee experience.

Are you the one?

  • 5+ years experience leading a payroll team in a complex Australian environment.
  • Experience managing payroll in New Zealand is an advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, modern awards, PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and leave entitlements.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a payroll team in a complex, multi-site environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in payroll governance, compliance, audit management, systems optimisation, and continuous process improvement.
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder management and customer-service skills, balancing attention to detail with broader functional leadership.
  • Experience working in a large or multinational organisation is highly regarded.
  • Experience using Definitiv or a similar contemporary payroll platform is advantageous.

What do we offer?

  • Career progression opportunities in a global organisation.
  • Access to world‑class learning and development programs.
  • A supportive, high‑performing team environment.
  • A total rewards package designed to recognise and motivate.
  • Free parking and gym on-site.
