Pediatric Care Technician - Periop Imaging - Per Diem

Job Summary:

An unlicensed multi-skilled worker who supports patient care by performing specific nursing tasks and support functions as delegated by a licensed provider. Care provided by the PCT is supervised by a Registered Nurse.

Qualifications:

• Education
• •High School Diploma/G.E.D. (required)

Program Graduation from a patient care program (i.e. MA, CNA, EMT) (required) Or

Program One semester of an RN or LVN program (required) Or

Equivalent Experience Two years in a similar role in lieu of patient care program or nursing program requirement (required) Or

Equivalent Experience Current Valley Children's Pediatric Nurse Extern (required)

• Licenses and Certifications
• •BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required)

• Work Experience
• •Minimum six (6) months Providing direct patient care (preferred)

• Skills and Abilities
• •Ability to work in a team environment, ability to be delegated tasks by the RN, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a timely manner. And

Medical terminology skills are preferred. And

Bilingual Skills Preferred.
