Te tūranga – The role

As our People Partnering Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our People Partnering team, helping everything run smoothly and making a real difference to how effectively we support our people and leaders.

You’ll be someone who enjoys being across the detail, brings order and organisation to busy work, and takes pride in getting things right. You’ll take ownership of the systems, processes and coordination that keep our work moving, following things through and making sure nothing falls through the gaps.

By owning this work and doing it well, you’ll help create capacity for our People Partners and People Advisors to lift up and focus their time on higher-value partnering with leaders and teams across the Bank.

In this role, you’ll:

Take ownership of coordination and operational activities across People Partnering, keeping work organised, moving and on track.

Support key moments across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, employment agreements, letters and other HR documentation.

Maintain employee information and records with excellent attention to detail, ensuring information is accurate, timely and handled appropriately.

Take ownership of our shared team inboxes, ensuring enquiries are picked up, followed through and responded to professionally.

Support HR reporting, data administration and information management, helping ensure the team has accurate and reliable information when it needs it.

Become a confident and highly capable Workday user, building a strong understanding of our HR systems and processes and becoming a go-to person within the team. Previous Workday or HRIS experience would be valuable, but equally important is being tech-confident and able to learn new systems quickly.

Support People and Culture projects, annual processes and initiatives, and look for practical opportunities to simplify and improve the way we work.

Build strong relationships across People and Culture, collaborating with others and stepping in where your coordination skills can make a difference.

Ō pūkenga – About you

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re highly organised, proactive and exceptionally detail-focused. You enjoy taking ownership, solving problems and following things through. You understand that great coordination is much more than administration. It’s about making things happen, creating confidence that the detail is taken care of, and enabling the wider team to perform at its best.

You will bring:

  • 1–2 years' experience in an administration, coordination or HR support role.
  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline or be currently working towards one.
  • Exceptional organisation, time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset, sound judgement and willingness to take initiative.
  • Confidence using HR systems, databases, Workday experience would be an advantage
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.

The anticipated appointment range for this role is $70,411 to $82,145.70 (actual salary will be dependent on your skills and experience).
