The People Experience Lead guides onboarding and early talent programming, including leading the PGA Internship Program, while championing workplace culture through staff events, internal newsletters, and recognition programs. Additionally, the role supports core People Team operations, compliance, confidential record management, and department administrative and financial workflows across the People Function.

RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to) :

Talent Acquisition, Early Talent Programming, and Onboarding

  • Lead the PGA Internship Program across its full lifecycle, to include recruitment, candidate selection, and housing arrangements. Plan and coordinate the intern schedule of events, including orientation, professional development workshops, and team activities, to create an engaging learning environment. Prepare intern leaders for successful and rewarding experiences. Work closely with partners and leadership to advance inclusion initiatives and connect with diverse talent pools.
  • Lead the onboarding function by creating engaging and contemporary onboarding materials for new talent, creating and executing onboarding schedules for new talent.
  • Support seasonal employee hiring for Championship events, assisting with candidate tracking, pre-employment screenings, and cross functional handoffs to ensure seamless seasonal staff execution and onboarding.
  • Audit company career pages and external job boards to maintain accuracy, producing engaging recruitment media and video content to attract top talent and increase candidate engagement.

Employee Experience, Culture & Communications

  • Plan and execute employee engagement and workplace culture events at the Home of the PGA of America. Own the operational workflow by establishing clear event timelines, coordinating cross functional team logistics, and guiding internal partners to deliver high quality, memorable staff experiences.
  • Partner with department leadership to launch and manage the company newsletter, establishing editorial standards, coordinating cross-functional content sourcing, and driving internal employee engagement initiatives.
  • Lead Employee Recognition Programs and assist with Service Award Programs, ensuring timely celebration of staff achievements, career milestones, and ongoing dedication to the organization.
  • Oversee the distribution of all People Team communications using appropriate department branding. Assist with the scheduling of company wide events like speakers, Team Connects, etc.
  • Support Learning and Development curriculum, workshops and related employee training records, i.e., Workday Learning, compliance, etc. Serve as back up in processing Education Assistance Program requests.
  • Maintain ‘The Hub’ ensuring all employee communications and resources are current, compliant, contemporary, and engaging.
  • Order, organize, and maintain an inventory of employee gifts, e.g.new hire, new baby, bereavement, commemorative, and celebratory items.

HR Operations, Compliance & Support

  • Establish and maintain an accurate and organized filing system for various confidential employee records, including but not limited to historical I-9 records, and purging and coordinating offsite storage of files as required.
  • Provide Verification of Employment, as requested, and ensure the proper handling of private information.
  • Maintain state and federal labor law postings and other pertinent information on company bulletin boards across all office locations.
  • Ensure employee inquiries are answered and/or properly routed in a timely manner.
  • Process invoices and create Purchase Orders in Workday for the Talent and People Experience Team. Provide administrative backup support across the broader People Function.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY:

No budgetary responsibility.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Three (3) years of experience in Human Resources supporting core HR operational functions.
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service skills required.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Must have knowledge of basic human resources practices and procedures. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information with the highest level of integrity. Knowledge of Workday. Working knowledge of Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets and Google Docs. Basic fluency in artificial intelligence (AI) tools and concepts, including the ability to use AI to enhance business operations, support marketing initiatives and drive innovation that better serves our Members and stakeholders.
