What You’ll Do
- Direct and coordinate nursing operations and staffing activities within the PACU
- Support and mentor nursing and support staff through coaching, development, and ongoing feedback
- Lead onboarding, training, and educational initiatives to support team success
- Foster a positive and psychologically safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary hospital teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Develop and implement staffing plans that balance operational needs with team wellbeing
- Help drive engagement, accountability, communication, and culture across the department
- Serve as a visible and approachable leader who supports staff through both everyday operations and high-pressure situations
- Maintain a strong focus on patient safety, quality outcomes, and clinical excellence
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
- Master’s degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field is required
Licensure & Certifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- ACLS preferred
- BLS preferred
Experience
- 2–3 years of nursing experience required
- 2-3 years of nursing leadership experience preferred
- Current PACU experience preferred
