The UHealth System at the University of Miami has an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Pharmacy Technician 1. The Pharmacy Technician 1 prepares medications for patients under the guidance of a Pharmacist. Assists the Pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions, price-checking, and restocking of drugs.

• CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
• 1. Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information and maintains patient records.
• 2. Assists pharmacists in filling orders and preparing labels for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals.
• 3. Receives and stocks incoming medical supplies and drugs.
• 4. Refers providers’ calls and medical questions to Pharmacist.
• 5. Participates in orientation and assigned training program to attain competency in pharmacy technician duties.
• 6. Stays abreast of basic knowledge of pharmacy law, regulations and standards, pharmacy informatics and technology including medication dispensing systems, and pharmacy calculations.
• 7. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

State of FL registration
