JOB DESCRIPTION:

POSITION SUMMARY

Assists pharmacists to provide medication and other health care products to patients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• •Fills routine prescriptions with prepackaged pharmaceuticals.
• •Keeps maintenance of records on prescriptions and inventory, and prepares labels.
• •May process insurance claims and provide detailed prescription receipts.
• •Resolves problems related to prescription inquiries.
• •Responsible for implementing inventory control procedures and ordering merchandise within regulatory guidelines.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• •Oral and written communication skills.
• •Ability to understand and follow directions. Organizational skills.

Education Level

Completion of accredited program

2 years of experience preferred

Certification/Licensure

CPHT licensure preferred

$17.35--$24.30
