We're looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant to Join the Movement!
We built Highbar for clinicians who want clarity, support, and a sustainable career, not just another offer.
Peak Physical Therapy & Sports Performance, a proud affiliate of Highbar Physical Therapy, is a premier, PT-led outpatient practice across New England. We are a teaching practice by design, focused on empowering clinicians to practice at the top of their license while delivering exceptional patient care. Our care model is intentionally designed to prioritize clinical autonomy, reasonable caseload expectations, and built-in mentorship, so Clinicians can grow confidently without burning out.
What Your Day Actually Looks Like at Peak
We believe clarity builds trust. Here’s what you can expect:
Patient volume : Lower than industry norms, our expectations are less than 13 patients per day
Visit structure : 1:1 patient care
Documentation : AI-supported documentation + Prompt EMR to reduce after-hours documentation
Schedules : Predictable, thoughtfully built schedules
Collaboration : You’ll work closely with Physical Therapists as part of a tight-knit care team, collaborating on treatment plans while having autonomy and managing your daily schedule and patient flow
Support staff : Exercise Specialists to support treatment flow so you can focus on providing the highest level of patient care.
If something starts to creep toward burnout, leadership intervenes early. That’s part of the job design - not an afterthought.
Mentorship & Professional Development
We are a teaching practice by design. Professional development is part of your workweek—not something you squeeze in to meet your CEU requirements:
2 paid mentorship hours/week for your first 12 weeks
Structured onboarding with a Clinic Director + Peer Mentor
Monthly Skillz meetings (onsite CE, every month)
Core-4 Series and COMT Pathways to align clinical decision-making and PATTOTL principles
Specialty SIGs (Pelvic Health, Sports, Neuro, Vestibular, Pediatrics, and more)
We invest $7,000+ in your professional development in your first 18–24 months!
You'll Thrive at Peak if You Value:
Practicing as a clinician, not a productivity unit
Autonomy paired with real support
Clear expectations around workload and growth
Leadership with clinical backgrounds
Feedback that’s welcomed and acted on
What You'll Need:
Degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Active PTA license (or eligibility to obtain one)
A desire to grow clinically, contribute to a team, and practice thoughtfully
