Position Summary

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) , you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapeutic care that improves residents’ mobility, independence, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• •Provide direct patient care as directed by the Physical Therapist
• •Carry out treatment plans prescribed by the physician and therapist
• •Document daily treatments and weekly progress notes
• •Assist with rehab and patient care conferences
• •Monitor and report patient progress and changes
• •Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy programs and post-discharge care
• •Assist with training of Restorative Aides
• •Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment
• •Report equipment concerns and ensure proper maintenance

Qualifications

• •Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
• •Active, unencumbered PTA license in South Carolina (required)
• •Must maintain all continuing education and remain in good standing with the State Board
• •Experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred
• •Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred
• •Strong communication and teamwork skills
• •Compassion for an underserved population
