Position Overview
The Department of Radiology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine/Wexner Medical Center is seeking candidates for faculty positions in Interventional Medicine who are passionate about collaborative, patient-centered clinical excellence, dedicated to advancing research and innovation, committed to education, and inspire inclusivity.
He/she/they will contribute to the Department’s ambition while upholding the organization’s mission and values. The responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to patient care, research, and training graduate and postgraduate students.
- Department/Division Overview
- The Ohio State University Department of Radiology is experiencing significant growth across its research, education, and clinical missions, positioning it as a national leader in imaging innovation and care delivery. The Center for Imaging Excellence (CIE) serves as a cornerstone of this advancement, bringing together multidisciplinary teams to accelerate translational research in MRI, CT, and PET imaging. With an expanding focus on artificial intelligence—supported by Ohio State’s designation as an ACR Recognized Center for Healthcare-AI (ARCH-AI)—as well as theranostics and advanced imaging technologies, and ongoing renovations to support state-of-the-art infrastructure and collaborative team science, the CIE is strengthening its role in discovery, education, and training the next generation of imaging scientists.
The department continues to strengthen its educational programs through a comprehensive portfolio of residencies and subspecialty fellowships, supporting a diverse pathway for trainees and reinforcing its commitment to excellence in graduate medical education across diagnostic and interventional radiology.
Clinically, Radiology is rapidly expanding to meet growing patient demand and support the Wexner Medical Center’s Impact 2035 strategic vision. This includes major investments in new and renovated facilities, such as the recently opened 820-bed inpatient hospital tower, a biomedical research tower, and the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Center. In parallel, the department is extending its reach through new ambulatory care centers in New Albany, Dublin, and Powell, alongside established imaging sites across the region—enhancing access, capacity, and the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered imaging services.
The Division of Interventional Radiology focuses on all aspects of Interventional Radiology. By joining our faculty, you will have excellent opportunities for advancement, while working with an exceptional cadre of multidisciplinary providers. Faculty are supported by many outstanding clinical, research, and educational resources in the department and organization, including substantial, dedicated expertise in imaging technology innovation, artificial intelligence, and health services research.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Full-Time and Part-Time positions available.
- Contributes to the day-to-day clinical operations of the Interventional Radiology Division of the Department of Radiology:
- Provides high-quality patient care as related to the Interventional Radiology Service.
- Contributes to clinical and imaging operations as related to the Interventional Radiology Service.
- Education, Training, and Faculty Development:
- Conducts and provides clinical instruction, lectures, seminars, and related educational offerings, both within OSUWMC and at the regional and national level.
- Collaborates with faculty and leadership in the Division to develop and refine medical student, resident, and fellow training opportunities.
- Serves as a mentor and sponsor of residents, fellows, and faculty in the Department.
- Research and Scholarship:
- Supports clinical and translational research activities and innovation
- May serve as PI or Co-I in grants and/or clinical trials
- Serves on Department, OSUCOM, or OSUWMC committees to represent the research and innovation interests of the Department, as appropriate
Requirements
M.D., D.O, or foreign equivalent
Board eligible or board certified in Interventional Radiology (ABR)
Completion of Interventional Radiology Integrated or Independent Residency or Fellowship in Interventional Radiology by time of appointment.
Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio

- Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with titles of assistant professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical and professor-clinical. These faculty will have earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field. Clinical faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of three to five years. They may be reappointed to successive terms. Their principal career focus is the delivery of exemplary clinical care, and may include teaching, and/or research.
Tenure-Track faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of assistant professor, associate professor, or professor who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Their primary career focus centers on research, service, and teaching. Tenure-track faculty with MD, DO or MD/PhD degrees may also be involved in clinical care.
