Description
- Location: Rapid City, South Dakota
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Organization Type: Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
- Position Summary:
- We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician to join our team in delivering high-quality care to our diverse and underserved patient population. The ideal candidate will diagnose, educate, and initiate treatment in an outpatient clinic setting, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to promote health and prevent disease. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a health center committed to comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and initiate treatment plans.
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Provide consultations to other clinic providers as needed.
- Supervise and support advanced practice professionals.
- Participate in after-hours call coverage to ensure continuity of care.
- Collaborate with internal and community providers to deliver integrated primary care services.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Eligible/Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related field.
- Current unrestricted South Dakota medical license and DEA license.
- Experience serving low-income, ethnic minority, and underserved populations preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
