West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Neurology in the WVU School of Medicine are seeking a Movement Disorders N eurolog ist for Thomas Memorial Hospital qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in South Charleston , WV.

Duties: In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students and residents.

Qualifications: Successful candidates must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical licensure. Candidate must have completed a neurology residency program and movement disorders fellowship program and be board certified/eligible in neurology and movement disorders. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Candidates will join an active multidisciplinary team including neurologists, neurosurgeons, advanced practice providers, neuropathologists, and physical, occupational, and speech therapists for collaboration in the areas of patient care, research , and education. WVU Neurology has an active multidisciplinary ALS clinic and the only MDA clinic in West Virginia. Our clinic offers a range of some of the most innovative approaches available including DBS, injections, medications, MR-guided focused ultrasound, rehabilitation, and speech therapy. Through a new vision and strategic thrust for neuroscience at WVU, and through basic, applied, and translational/clinical research, the Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute is a global leader in the discovery, development, and delivery of world-class research in human performance and brain health.
