DESCRIPTION:

• Kingsley is looking for a PRIVATE LESSON PIANO TEACHER, After School Music Program for beginning &
• intermediate students Grades P4-6 (ages 4-12). (Please note that experience working with and
• teaching very young students is required for this position.)

• We seek teachers with a holistic approach to education that emphasizes the importance of
• thorough approach to teaching sight reading, music theory, composition, ear training, aural
• analysis, and best practices when working with young students. Students will be encouraged to
• perform in recitals that take place throughout the year and will learn to take ownership of their own practice regimen, as well as develop a vocabulary for guided self-critique.

• Hours vary between 3-6PM Monday-Friday
• based upon enrollment and teacher availability. Lesson teachers will give one-on-one weekly
• lessons to each of their scheduled students.

Qualifications:

■ Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Music degree

■ Experience with a variety of instructional methods and multi-age learning environments ■ Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum design and development

■ Commitment to meeting the needs of each student

■ Commitment to professional growth and best practices in education
