Join our vibrant team at the YMCA as a Pilates Instructor and help members achieve their fitness goals through engaging and effective Pilates classes. We are committed to promoting health, wellness, and community connection, and we are looking for passionate professionals to contribute to this mission.

*Starting at $15.00 per hour plus incentives for additional certifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead group Pilates classes for members of various skill levels, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment
  • Develop and modify class routines to accommodate different abilities and fitness goals
  • Provide personalized guidance and support to participants to enhance their technique and performance
  • Monitor participant progress and offer encouragement to foster motivation and engagement
  • Maintain a clean and organized studio environment, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized
  • Stay informed about the latest Pilates techniques and industry best practices

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Certification in Pilates instruction from a recognized organization
  • Previous experience teaching Pilates classes, preferably in a fitness or community setting
  • Must be certified in PR/CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School education or equivalent preferred.
  • 6 months or 60 hours of practical experience of group exercise class experience.
  • Must be able to lift in excess of ten pounds.
  • YMCA Healthy Lifestyles** and YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise or National Certification***
  • **Within 6 months of hire date – Healthy Lifestyles.
  • ***Within 12 months of hire date - YMCA Foundations.
