Hampshire Hills Athletic Club is seeking a knowledgeable, professional, and team-oriented Pilates Reformer Instructor to join our Group Fitness team.
We are looking for an instructor with strong technical knowledge and a passion for helping members build strength, stability, mobility, and confidence through safe and effective Reformer training.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR INSTRUCTORS WHO:
- Have a strong understanding of Pilates principles and Reformer methodology.
- Provide clear, precise, and effective instruction.
- Prioritize member safety and proper technique.
- Are confident working with members of varying abilities and experience levels.
- Create a positive, welcoming, and encouraging environment.
- Bring professionalism, preparation, and authenticity to every class.
- Are dependable and committed to their scheduled classes.
- Support fellow instructors and contribute positively to the team.
- Communicate professionally and use appropriate channels when concerns arise.
- Are open to feedback and committed to continued growth.
- Take pride in being part of the Hampshire Hills Group Fitness team.
Requirements
- 300-Hour Pilates Reformer Certification: Must hold a minimum 300-hour Pilates Reformer certification from a nationally recognized or established Pilates training organization.
- Teaching Experience: Previous Pilates Reformer teaching experience is required.
- Live Class Demonstration: Candidates must complete a live teaching demonstration as part of the hiring process.
- Commitment: Must be willing to make a consistent commitment to the schedule and reliably teach an assigned regular class.
- Teamwork: Must work well with teammates and contribute to a supportive, positive, and collaborative team environment.
- Professionalism: Demonstrates reliability, preparedness, positive communication, and a commitment to Hampshire Hills Athletic Club standards.
- Safety & Technique: Demonstrates strong knowledge of Reformer equipment, proper alignment, exercise execution, modifications, progressions, and safety.
- Member-Focused: Able to effectively coach members with varying fitness levels and experience while creating a welcoming and supportive environment.
- Coachability: Willing to receive feedback, continue professional development, and participate in instructor education and team initiatives.
