Pipefitter - Construction

Responsibilities:

• •Install industrial piping systems: chill water, hot water, steam, condensate, and condensed water
• •Read blueprints and submittals
• •Fabricate pipe supports and spool copper lines
• •Work independently and problem solve
• •Repair, cap, and test all types of plumbing piping
• •Instruct plumbing helpers under your supervision
• •Practice all safety procedures
• •Hold license to operate equipment necessary for the role

Education Requirements/Qualifications:

• •Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
• •Rigging knowledge preferred
• •5 years pipefitter experience preferred
• •Knowledge of pipefitter equipment, power tools, and fabrication methods
• •Knowledge of different types of pipe, valves, fittings, and their functions
• •General knowledge of code requirements and limitations
• •Knowledge of occupational hazards, including ladders

Job Requirements/Special Skills:

• •Ownership of pipefitter hand tools
• •Ability to work independently and on a team
• •Strong verbal communication skills
• •Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• •Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time
• •Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
