Pipelayer

B&B Contracting Group is accepting applications for Pipelayers to join our growing company. B&B is a union-affiliated employer that puts a strong emphasis on safety and offers highly competitive compensation and benefits. Pipelayers earn a wage of $30-$43 per hour depending on skillset and experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Complete work tasks within the trench to ensure pipe is laid to the proposed grade and alignment

Monitor granular backfilling and compaction of the pipe to ensure proper support

Dig trenches to desired or required depths, by hand or using trenching tools

Grade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools

Promote a safe work environment and adhere to safety policies and work procedures

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Possess a minimum of 2 years’ prior pipelaying experience

Knowledge of and experience with installing pipe of various sizes and materials

Ability to read and understand construction drawings is an asset

Possess strong work ethic and positive team attitude
