Silgan Closures, a global leader in sustainable packaging solutions, is seeking a Plant Quality Assurance Manager to lead the Quality Management System and Food Safety Program at our Champaign, IL facility. In this key leadership role, you will ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, company, and food safety requirements while driving continuous improvement efforts that enhance product quality, reduce waste, improve customer satisfaction, and strengthen operational performance.

What you will do:

As the Plant Quality Assurance Manager you will:

• •Lead the plant's Quality Management System and Food Safety Program
• •Ensure compliance with SQF, HACCP, GMP, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements
• •Serve as Food Safety Team Leader and oversee food safety plans, risk assessments, and GMP programs
• •Investigate customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
• •Lead customer, supplier, and internal audits, ensuring timely closure of audit findings
• •Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, and Root Cause Analysis
• •Monitor process capability, quality metrics, and performance trends through data analysis and reporting
• •Partner with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to improve quality and operational performance
• •Develop and coach quality team members while promoting a culture of quality, food safety, compliance, and workplace safety

What you'll need to have:

• •Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Food Science, Manufacturing, or a related field
• •5+ years of manufacturing quality experience
• •3+ years of leadership experience
• •Experience with food safety programs, audits, compliance, and corrective actions
• •Preferred experience in packaging manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing, SPC, customer quality, and supplier quality
