PLM Solution Developer

Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India

Role Overview

As a PLM Solution Developer, you will design and deliver high-quality Windchill customizations and enhancements that improve product lifecycle management processes and support business growth.

You will combine hands-on development with technical leadership, workflow automation, system integration, and performance optimization to deliver stable, scalable PLM solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement PLM strategies and solutions that improve product development efficiency.

Develop, configure, and enhance Windchill solutions across key technical areas, including Windchill APIs and services, OData and REST integrations, Workflow and lifecycle configuration, data utilities, UI customization, Business rules, Jasper reporting, Integrations and visualization configuration/customization.

Work effectively in an Agile delivery environment, actively participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.

Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and IT teams to integrate PLM processes across the organization.

Gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into clear PLM system specifications and technical solutions.

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement in application stability and usability.

Support system upgrades, enhancements, and release activities.

Develop and maintain documentation for PLM processes, policies, configurations, and procedures.

Stay current with PLM industry trends and best practices, recommending solutions that enhance business operations.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

8–10 years of experience in PLM, product development, or a related discipline.

Demonstrated experience implementing and managing PLM solutions in a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of PLM platforms and methodologies, preferably Windchill.

Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills along with AI practical knowledge.

Effective communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Good to Have Skills

Experience in Windchill upgrade, migration, and deployment activities.

Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and release management practices.

Experience working with Oracle/SQL Server databases and performance optimization.

Understanding of CAD integrations (Creo preferred) and CAD data management processes.

Exposure to AI-assisted development tools and automation technologies.

Windchill certification and/or PLM domain certifications are preferred.
