Balance Health is the largest majority podiatrist owned practice in the country and the nation’s premier comprehensive lower-extremity focused Physician Practice. We are looking for a Surgical Podiatrist to serve our Houston community at one of several clinics, with plans for continued growth and expansion in the region. The ideal candidate will be hard-working, comfortable performing surgery as well as doing routine care, with a phenomenal bedside manner who treats our patients with exceptional care.

Essential Functions :

• •Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases
• •Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
• •Perform surgical procedures as necessary along with wound care management as needed
• •Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results
• •Prescribe medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery
• •Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems
• •Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team
• •Provide health promotion and preventive medicine
• •Appropriately maintains medical records on assigned patients

Compensation / Benefits:

• •Competitive physician salary program with a base ($150,000 - $600,000) + percentage of net collections.
• •Benefit eligibility for FT employees working 30+ hours weekly begins first of the month following 30 days of employment.

Requirements

Requirements

• •Minimum of three (3) years professional experience preferred
• •Current License as a Podiatrist in the State of Texas.
• •Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry
• •Board certification through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery
• •Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
• •Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
• •Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities
• •Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
• •Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with diverse patient, colleague, and vendor populations
• •PC Proficient with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook and EMR database
• •Ability to provide legal proof of eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
