Position Overview

W.M. Mulherin’s Sons is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Polisher to support our front-of-house operations. This role is responsible for ensuring all glassware and silverware are impeccably cleaned, polished, stocked, and service-ready at all times. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and contributes to creating an exceptional dining experience through attention to detail and teamwork.

Essential Functions

Operational Responsibilities

Carefully clean and polish all glassware and silverware, ensuring items are spotless and free of water spots, fingerprints, residue, or tarnish.

Inspect utensils and glassware for damage or defects before returning items to service.

Maintain organized storage areas for polished silverware, glassware, and polishing supplies.

Stock service stations and storage areas to ensure adequate inventory throughout service periods.

Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages, damages, or operational concerns to management.

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace cleanliness standards.

Work efficiently and accurately in a high-volume restaurant environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Service & Team Support

Assist service staff with clearing and resetting tables as needed.

Support front-of-house operations to ensure smooth and efficient guest service.

Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

Communicate effectively with managers and team members regarding operational needs.

Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Previous restaurant, hospitality, or food service experience preferred.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Positive attitude with a willingness to support the team wherever needed.
