We are seeking a skilled Power BI Administrator to manage, maintain, secure, and optimize the Power BI environment across the organization. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Power BI Service administration, gateway management, workspace governance, security implementation, capacity monitoring, and user support.
Responsibilities
Administer and manage the Power BI Service environment.
Configure and maintain On-Premises Data Gateways.
Manage Power BI workspaces, datasets, reports, dashboards, and dataflows.
Implement governance, security, and compliance policies.
Configure and manage Row-Level Security (RLS).
Monitor Power BI Premium capacities and optimize performance.
Manage user access, licensing, and permission controls.
Troubleshoot report refresh failures, gateway issues, and connectivity problems.
Monitor system health and usage through Power BI Admin Portal.
Collaborate with BI developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders.
Maintain deployment pipelines and support release management activities.
Create operational documentation, administration guides, and best practices.
Technical requirements
Strong experience with Power BI Administration.
Hands-on experience with Power BI Service and Power BI Premium Capacity.
Experience with Power BI Gateway Installation and Management.
Knowledge of Workspace Administration and Governance.
Experience with Azure Active Directory (AAD) and security management.
Understanding of DAX, Data Modeling, and Power Query.
Experience in managing Row-Level Security (RLS).
Knowledge of Power BI REST APIs and automation.
Experience with monitoring, auditing, and performance tuning.
Familiarity with SQL Server and relational databases.
Education
MCA,MSc,MTech,BCA,BSc,BTech
