Job Title: Principal AI Quality Engineer

Location: Pune, India

Employment Type: Full-time

The job

The role focuses on the technical implementation of AI within the Quality Engineering lifecycle by developing reusable AI assets, integrating AI capabilities into testing workflows, implementing AI-assisted automation and enabling quality engineering teams to adopt practical AI solutions that improve software quality, release confidence and engineering productivity.

Working closely with Product QE Leads, the role provides technical expertise to implement consistent AI-enabled Quality Engineering practices across products.

Key responsibilities

• •Implement the QE & AI Transformation roadmap across the product portfolio.
• •Conduct QE and AI maturity assessments and provide technical recommendations for improvement.
• •Develop and maintain AI-enabled QE standards, playbooks, templates and reusable assets.
• •Design and implement AI-assisted workflows across the QE lifecycle.
• •Coach engineering teams on the effective use of AI-enabled Quality Engineering practices.

Essential requirements

• •Extensive experience in Quality Engineering, test automation, and modern software delivery practices.
• •Strong understanding of automation frameworks, CI/CD, risk-based testing, and Quality Engineering best practices.
• •Practical experience implementing AI-enabled Quality Engineering solutions and integrating AI tools into software engineering or Quality Engineering workflows.
• •Experience developing reusable Quality Engineering standards, frameworks, and AI-enabled engineering assets.
• •Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical teams and stakeholders.

Technical Skills

• •Quality Engineering & AI Engineering – Quality Engineering, test automation, automation frameworks, CI/CD, risk-based testing, quality governance, and modern software delivery practices.
• •AI-enabled Quality Engineering – AI-enabled testing, AI-assisted workflows, reusable AI skills & templates, prompt libraries, and AI-assisted automation.
• •AI Tools & Integrations – AI tools, Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI integrations with testing tools, and AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI development tools.
• •AI Evaluation & Standards – AI evaluation, responsible AI principles, testing standards, reusable frameworks, engineering assets, and AI-enabled QE standards and playbooks.

Competencies

• •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• •Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• •Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, architects, product leaders, and senior executives.
• •Strong documentation, facilitation, presentation, and technical leadership skills.
