ERM is looking for an experienced hands-on Principal EHS Consultant to provide technical leadership and drive delivery of EHS priorities within a pioneering technology organisation. With a strong foundation in cutting-edge AI, machine learning, and advanced engineering, the company is delivering innovative technological solutions at scale. Known for its commitment to innovation, safety, and sustainability, it offers a collaborative environment where talented individuals can make a tangible impact in a fast-evolving technology sector.

Working as an embedded member of the client EMEA EHS team, you will exercise independent professional judgement, advise operational leaders and drive practical improvements in EHS performance across the rapidly growing UK operations.

What you’ll be doing

In this role you will:

  • Lead the delivery of EHS priorities, planning and undertaking site inspections, walkarounds, and assurance activities across client operations.
  • Evaluate hazards and risks, define proportionate controls and drive corrective actions through to closure.
  • Lead EHS audits and risk assessments, providing robust technical advice across site activities.
  • Provide technical advice oversight and advice on construction safety, workplace safety, and occupational hygiene risks, drawing on expertise where required.
  • Interpret site findings and EHS performance data to identify trends, emerging risks and priorities for intervention.
  • Deliver clear, decision-focused reporting to client leadership, translating technical findings into practical recommendations and action plans.
  • Partner with EHS leadership, operational leaders and site teams to implement sustainable EHS programs and address compliance gaps.
  • Advise on applicable UK health, safety and environment requirements and internal standards.

Who we are looking for

You will thrive in this role with:

  • Substantial (10 years plus) relevant EHS experience in industry or consultancy, with a proven track record of leading delivery in operational environments. Experience in the technology sector would preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, with the ability to interpret requirements and translate them into practical operational controls.
  • Ability to prioritise competing demands, manage an agreed EHS work programme and take ownership of delivery with minimal supervision.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to advise senior EHS and business leaders, challenge constructively and build credibility with operational teams.
  • NEBOSH Certificate (required) or Diploma (preferred), or equivalent qualification in Safety, Occupational Health or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience working with EHS software solutions such as Enablon is preferred but not required.
  • A full UK driving licence (or ability to travel independently to site locations).

To Apply

If you’re excited by the idea of shaping EHS in an organisation that’s redefining what’s possible— we’d love to hear from you. Thank you.
