• Job Summary:
• As a Principal Engineer, you will be the technical anchor for the Accenture LearnVantage (ALV) product - setting the development workflow, driving architecture and design decisions, and raising the engineering bar across teams. You will be deeply hands-on in code, guide multiple squads, and shape how the platform evolves technically over time.
• Roles & Responsibilities:
• Define and evolve the development workflow, engineering standards, and best practices across ALV teams.
• Lead key architecture and design decisions; guide services through significant technical evolution while keeping existing systems stable and supported.
• Stay deeply hands-on: prototype, build critical components, and review code to set the standard.
• Partner with internal and external teams to turn ambiguous requirements into sound technical designs and actionable plans.
• Mentor engineers and managers; act as a technical multiplier across the unit.
• Champion the adoption of AI development tools (Cursor / Claude) and modern testing/CI practices.
• Professional & Technical Skills:
• Must To Have Skills: Deep proficiency in one or more backend stacks (.NET / Golang / Java / Node.js), with the ability to work across them.
• Strong hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and relational databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL).
• First-hand experience writing unit and integration tests and establishing testing standards.
• Minimum 1 year of experience using AI coding tools (Cursor / Claude); evidence of championing these tools at their org/unit.
• Experience leading/mentoring engineering teams (minimum team size of 3) in a technical capacity.
• Comfortable working in a MacBook (macOS) professional environment.
• Good to have: working knowledge of frontend development (React / Angular / HTML).
