GCU Traditional Campus - Phoenix, AZ:
Courses are in-person and on-campus for the Spring 2027 Semester (01/04/2027 - 02/28/2027)
Course: Principles of Immunohematology
Lecture and laboratory covering the basic principles of Immunohematology (Transfusion Medicine) relevant to blood group serology and typing, population prevalence of antigens, antibody detection and identification, and compatibility testing of blood products. Component preparation and therapy in blood transfusion service, quality control, donor screening, and transfusion reactions are explored.
What You Will Do:
- Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
- Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
- Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University
Qualifications:
- Preferred: Master's degree and MLS certifications from ASCP or AMT
- Minimum: Bachelor's degree and MLS certification from ASCP or AMT
