The Role

Join Bega Group as a Process Operator, supporting the processing, mixing and batching of milk to meet production plans at the Crestmead manufacturing site.

This is a permanent night-shift position, Monday to Friday, from 9:30 pm to 6:00 am. You will balance incoming raw materials with production requirements, operate equipment across processing and production, and help maintain safe, efficient and high-quality operations.

Our Crestmead dairy site near Logan, south of Brisbane, manufactures and distributes a range of milk and milk-based products, made with fresh milk sourced direct from 35 dairy farms in the south-east Queensland region. Producing around 100 million litres of product per year!

Responsibilities

• •Process raw materials to required specifications while balancing material availability with production requirements
• •Perform VAT planning activities using site control systems
• •Operate machinery across laboratory, processing and production environments
• •Complete quality activities, including sampling, swabbing, plating and other QA Officer tasks
• •Support food safety, GMP compliance, continuous improvement, waste reduction and risk-reduction initiatives

About You

• •Previous experience in the FMCG or food-manufacturing industry
• •Strong troubleshooting skills for processing, packaging and equipment issues
• •Sound knowledge of safe work practices, hazard prevention and food-safety requirements
• •Experience in production planning or scheduling, with strong planning and organisational skills
• •A collaborative communicator who demonstrates adaptability, sound decision-making and a commitment to delivering results
