Procurement Manager

Limassol, Cyprus | Finance Team | Reporting to the Finance Director

Why The Island?

We’re a progressive, full-day international school bringing together three recognised educational approaches — International Baccalaureate (IB), Waldorf and Montessori — in one vibrant community. In September 2026, we welcomed nearly 1,000 students from more than 35 countries. As our school grows, the way we procure goods and services matters more than ever.

Make a difference behind the scenes

Great schools need more than great classrooms. They need smart, reliable operations that help teachers and colleagues do their best work. At The Island Private School of Limassol, we’re looking for a practical, commercially minded Procurement Manager who enjoys making things work better — and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of purchasing across a growing international school: build efficient processes, develop trusted supplier relationships, negotiate excellent value and make sure the right resources arrive at the right time.

What you’ll make happen

Shape and continuously improve clear, efficient and transparent procurement processes, aligned with school policies and budgets.

Own the entire purchasing journey — from sourcing and comparing quotations to negotiating terms, placing orders and tracking deliveries.

Find smarter ways to spend, achieving cost savings without compromising quality or service.

Build productive, long-term relationships with suppliers and service providers, and address issues when things don’t go to plan.

Partner with department heads to understand what they need, plan ahead and deliver on time.

Work closely with Finance on budget planning, monitoring, accurate expense allocation and procurement commitments.

Keep purchasing documentation organised and accurate, including orders, contracts, invoices and supporting records.

Use procurement data to report on spending, savings, budget utilisation and supplier performance.

What you’ll bring

At least three years’ relevant procurement or purchasing experience, ideally across the full procurement cycle.

A genuinely hands-on approach: you’re as comfortable following up an order as you are improving a process.

Strong negotiation skills, commercial judgement and an eye for value.

Excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to balance competing priorities.

Good knowledge of the Cyprus supplier market, plus confident online research and sourcing skills.

Proficiency in Google Workspace and fluency in both English and Greek.

A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to work independently and collaboratively.

A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline would be an advantage.

What we offer

The opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing school with a distinctive educational model.

Competitive remuneration based on qualifications and experience.

A modern, professional working environment with opportunities to learn and develop.

A referral programme and optional participation in the company group medical scheme.

Working hours

Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00 or 09:00–17:00.
