Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to support purchasing and supply chain activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for sourcing materials, managing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring materials are available to meet production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Source and purchase raw materials, components, equipment, and supplies.

Create, issue, and track purchase orders.

Obtain and compare vendor quotes based on price, quality, and lead time.

Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and purchasing terms.

Monitor open orders and follow up on shortages or delivery delays.

Maintain strong supplier relationships and identify new vendors when needed.

Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, and Operations.

Assist with inventory planning and preventing material shortages.

Resolve incorrect shipments, pricing discrepancies, and supplier issues.

Identify cost-saving and procurement improvement opportunities.

Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier records.

Qualifications

3+ years of procurement, purchasing, buyer, or supply chain experience.

Manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial experience strongly preferred.

Experience with purchase orders, vendor negotiations, and supplier management.

Knowledge of ERP/MRP or purchasing systems preferred.

Strong Excel, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
