ICON Creative Studio | Vancouver, BC

ICON Creative Studio is an independently owned animation studio based in Vancouver’s historic Gastown district. We bring together exceptional creative talent and production expertise to create ambitious CG animation, with a commitment to craftsmanship, collaboration, and compelling storytelling.

We’re looking for an experienced Producer to lead animated productions from planning through final delivery. You’ll bring clear direction, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach to managing teams, budgets, schedules, and client relationships—creating the conditions for artists to do their best work.

The Role

Working closely with directors, production leadership, and department supervisors, you’ll translate creative goals into achievable production plans. You’ll maintain a clear view of the production’s progress, anticipate challenges, and guide decisions that balance creative ambition with scope, schedule, and budget.

As a primary client contact, you’ll build trust through thoughtful communication, reliable follow-through, and practical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning and execution of CG productions, maintaining accountability for quality, budget, schedule, and delivery.

Develop and manage production budgets, schedules, milestones, and staffing plans in collaboration with studio leadership.

Partner with directors and supervisors to align creative priorities with production resources and technical requirements.

Lead and support the production management team, establishing clear responsibilities, effective workflows, and consistent communication.

Manage client relationships, communicating progress, incorporating feedback, and resolving concerns constructively.

Monitor costs, resource needs, and progress against milestones; identify risks early and lead corrective action.

Assess changes in scope, communicate their impact, and align approvals before committing resources.

Coordinate with studio departments to manage dependencies, shared resources, and delivery requirements.

Foster an accountable, respectful working environment and identify opportunities to improve production practices.

What You Bring

Proven experience producing CG animated series or features, with responsibility for schedules, teams, and client relationships.

A strong understanding of the CG animation pipeline, from development and pre-production through final delivery.

Experience leading complex productions and coordinating multiple departments and competing priorities.

Strong financial judgment, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and scope management.

Confident communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to navigate challenging conversations professionally.

A calm, decisive approach to problem-solving and the ability to anticipate issues before they affect delivery.

Experience with production tracking, scheduling, and budgeting tools.

A leadership style grounded in clarity, accountability, and respect for both creative and production teams.

Why ICON

This is an opportunity to take meaningful ownership of ambitious animated productions, work alongside talented artists and filmmakers, and help shape how great work gets made.
