Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Product Designer to join the Events Technology & Marketer Experience organization. In this role you will sit at the intersection of design and technology, shaping the end-to-end user experience for products that reach hundreds of thousands of attendees at AWS re:Invent and across our global events.

You will own the UX craft for the AWS Events Mobile App and our AI-powered experiences. You thrive in ambiguity, prototype at high velocity, and ship pixel-perfect interfaces that delight customers at scale.

  • Key job responsibilities
  • Lead the UX design for the AWS Events Mobile App, crafting seamless cross-platform experiences for iOS and Android from concept through high-fidelity deliverables.

Create user flows, wireframes, interaction models, and high-fidelity prototypes that clearly communicate design intent to engineering partners.

Work backwards from customer experience to ideate and rapidly prototype new app concepts, validate ideas through user research and testing, and iterate toward production readiness.

Own and evolve the mobile design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and scalability across screens and releases.

Design the conversational UX for the Concierge AI assistant, enabling attendees to get personalized session recommendations, wayfinding, and real-time event support through multi-modal interactions that feel natural and delightful.

Partner closely with engineers to ensure AI-powered responses are seamlessly integrated into the experience layer, providing clear design specifications and interaction patterns.

Concept, prototype, and deliver bold interactive experiences for re:Invent attendees — from early sketches to polished, testable prototypes.

Operate in a startup-speed environment: move from sketch to working prototype within days, not weeks.

Partner daily with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations to ensure seamless end-to-end delivery.

Advocate for design quality and accessibility standards, contributing to design reviews and establishing UX best practices.

Communicate technical trade-offs clearly; translate design intent into actionable specs for engineering teams.

Basic qualifications

  • - 3+ years of design experience
  • - An available online portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work
  • - Experience developing visually polished, engaging, and highly fluid UX prototypes (using tools such as Figma, Principle, ProtoPie, or similar)
  • - Experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, and technical partners in an agile environment
  • - Strong understanding of mobile design patterns, platform conventions (iOS/Android), and responsive design principles

Preferred qualifications

  • - Experience designing conversational or AI-powered user experiences
  • - Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React Native) sufficient to communicate effectively with engineering and understand platform constraints — not required to write production code
  • - Experience conducting and applying user research to inform design decisions
  • - Experience designing at scale for large, diverse audiences (e.g., events, consumer apps)
  • - Familiarity with design systems and component-based design approaches
  • - Experience with motion design and micro-interactions
