Job Description:
Product Development Technician I, 1st Shift – Apex, NC

We have an opportunity for a Product Development Technician I in Apex, NC, within our Pool segment. You will assist in setting up and conducting basic documented product performance and reliability tests. You will:
- Follow standardized procedures for documenting testing activities.
- Execute basic troubleshooting tasks under supervision.
- Assist in the fabrication of simple test fixtures using standard processes.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the lab.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve testing goals.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Provide support in organizing materials and setting up testing stations.
- Compile, organize, and archive test result
- Potential for training on Forklift
Key Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some coursework in Electronics or related field.
- 2-year degree in Electronics, Plumbing, HVAC highly desired
- 0-2 years of experience in a lab environment.
- Basic understanding of electronic systems and testing.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Eagerness to learn and follow instructions.
- Basic knowledge of safety and regulatory guidelines
- Physical requirement: This role frequently requires standing, walking, sitting, reaching, speaking, and hearing, with occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 40 pounds.
Shift/Hours:
- 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday onsite
- Flexibility required
Compensation:
The hourly pay for this role is $22.00 - $25.00/hour, DOE. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
