Product Engineer – Millwork

Description

Stevens Industries is looking for a Product Engineer to help turn customer designs into millwork that can be built accurately and efficiently. You’ll work with our engineering and production teams on custom projects, from reviewing drawings and selecting materials to solving questions that come up on the shop floor.

You do not need a background specifically in millwork. If you have strong CAD skills, understand how products are built, and enjoy working through design and production details, we’d like to hear from you.

What you’ll do

• •Review customer drawings and specifications, then develop accurate shop drawings, models, and production information.
• •Engineer custom millwork components and assemblies with attention to fit, materials, hardware, appearance, and installation.
• •Work with production to make sure designs can be built efficiently and meet quality expectations.
• •Resolve design and production questions, including changes discovered during fabrication.
• •Coordinate with sales, project teams, and production to clarify requirements and keep projects moving.
• •Maintain drawings, specifications, and other engineering documentation as designs change.

Requirements

What we’re looking for

• •A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Product Design, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience .
• •Experience using CAD software to create detailed drawings and models.
• •Experience in product engineering, manufacturing, cabinetry, furniture, construction products, or a related field.
• •The ability to read drawings, work through technical details, and solve practical production problems.
• •Clear communication and a willingness to spend time with the people building the product.

Experience with custom millwork is a plus, but it is not required.

Pay and benefits

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
