We work in-person five days a week in our San Francisco, NYC, or London offices.

About the Role

As a Product Manager, you'll build products that help the world's leading AI labs and enterprises transform human expertise into better AI models.

You'll own a major product area with significant autonomy, working directly with engineering and leadership to turn ambiguous problems into shipped products. You'll balance long-term strategy with rapid execution, making decisions that directly shape the company's trajectory and bottom line.

What You’ll Do

Advance the frontier of AI : Mercor is organizing humanity's expertise into better AI models for every lab and enterprise. You'll build and own the products that make this possible.

Understand User Needs : Work directly with expert annotators, customers, and internal operators to deeply understand their needs.

Understand the Business : Work backwards from business outcomes to make product decisions that impact business health and growth.

End-to-end ownership : Own product and feature lifecycles end-to-end, from conception to execution to sunsetting when necessary .

Get in the weeds : Write specs and PRDs but also build dashboards and make small PRs to unblock yourself.

Collaborate : Partner closely with engineering, research, operations, and design to ship products quickly.

Scopes Available

This is a general listing for all levels and product areas at Mercor. Candidates will be matched at a later stage to one of the following groups. We are willing to make exceptional offers to outlier candidates.

Expert Network : Build products that grow and improve the world's highest-quality network of AI experts.

Annotation and Eval Interface : Build the system of record for creating and analyzing datasets

Research : Productize advances in eval science, model-in-the-loop, and post-training to improve the value of our offerings.

New Bets : Launch 0 -> 1 product bets.

What We’re Looking For

Experience: 2+ years as a product manager, prior experience in SWE, ML, or DS preferred.

High Ownership: You take full accountability for outcomes, not just outputs.

Independence: Able to self-direct in ambiguous contexts, creating clarity for others.

Technical Fluency: Comfortable building scrappy MVPs yourself when needed to validate direction, unblock engineering, or accelerate iteration.

Strategic Vision: Strong ability to connect user needs and business context to long-term product direction.

User Obsession and Understanding: Talks to users frequently, knows how to effectively conduct user research and customer interviews.

Balance of Metrics & Vision: Equally comfortable running rigorous experiments and pushing forward visionary bets.
