Cloudera is seeking an experienced Product Manager to own the strategy, on-boarding, and successful delivery of our new internal Cloudera Distribution of Kubernetes (CDK). You will lead scalable deployments of CDK across public cloud, private cloud, and highly secure air-gapped environments. This role will focus on driving the foundational Kubernetes infrastructure that powers Cloudera’s data workloads, as well as integrating critical platform components like Cloudera Cloud Factory. This role is within the fast-paced team driving new innovation for our next-generation cloud data platform.

As a Product Manager you will:

• •Define and drive the product roadmap for the Cloudera Distribution of Kubernetes.
• •Translate complex customer needs and market opportunities into detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for the engineering teams building our internal Kubernetes distribution.
• •Ensure smooth on-boarding, lifecycle management, and scalable deployments of CDK across diverse environments (public cloud, private cloud, and air-gapped).
• •Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to integrate CDK with core platform services, ensuring a seamless compute and storage experience.
• •Lead the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch and post-launch optimization, ensuring our Kubernetes distribution is highly available, scalable, secure, and CNCF-conformant.
• •Champion product adoption and customer success through strong advocacy, thought leadership, and engagement with key enterprise customers and platform engineering partners.
• •Monitor and analyze platform performance and deployment metrics, identifying areas for infrastructure optimization and driving continuous enhancements.
• •Stay current with industry trends, Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) ecosystem advancements, data platform architectures, and best practices.

We are excited if you have:

• •3+ years of experience in product management, with a strong focus on Kubernetes, container orchestration, and data platforms.
• •Proven track record of successfully defining, launching, and managing enterprise-grade infrastructure or software products in a fast-paced environment.
• •Deep understanding of the Kubernetes ecosystem and how to make complex B2B enterprise infrastructure easy to use.
• •Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), hybrid architectures, and air-gapped deployment models.
• •Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex distributed systems concepts to diverse audiences.
• •Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• •Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and a customer-centric approach to solving infrastructure challenges.
• •Experience with Agile development methodologies.

You may also have:

• •Experience building, scaling, or managing a custom/internal Kubernetes distribution for enterprise workloads.
• •Familiarity with open-source security, compute, and data technologies.
• •Experience with regulated industries, secure air-gapped environments, and data compliance (e.g., FedRAMP, GDPR, CCPA).
