Job Description Summary

The Product Sales Specialist (PSS) is responsible for driving growth of GE HealthCare's Maternal and Infant Care(MIC) portfolio across their assigned territory. Working closely with Account Managers, Clinical Applications Specialists and Service teams, the PSS serves as the subject matter expert, helping healthcare providers improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency and workflow effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Commercial Leadershi p

  • Deliver annual orders, revenue and market share objectives for the Maternal Infant Care portfolio.
  • Build and execute territory growth plans aligned to business objectives.
  • Identify, qualify and progress sales opportunities throughout the customer buying cycle.
  • Develop strategies to capture competitor installed base and drive conversion opportunities.
  • Support the forecasting process by maintaining accurate pipeline visibility and opportunity progression.
  • Actively contribute to pricing, competitive positioning, value-based procurement and deal strategy discussions.
  • Support customers in developing business cases that demonstrate clinical, operational and financial value.
  • Meet defined modality KPIs and execute agreed standard work processes.

Customer Engagement

  • Develop strong relationships with clinical, operational and procurement stakeholders.
  • Establish credibility as the trusted partner for Maternal Infant Care solutions and workflows.
  • Lead customer presentations, product demonstrations and commercial discussions.
  • Support customers in assessing clinical, operational and financial value-based propositions.
  • Identify and develop executive sponsorship opportunities within key accounts.
  • Help to develop Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
  • Engage with Biomedical Engineering, Digital and IT stakeholders where connectivity and interoperability form part of the solution.

Product & Clinical Expertis e

  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of the Maternal Infant Care portfolio, clinical applications, market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Provide product expertise during customer evaluations, tenders and purchasing decisions.
  • Deliver compelling clinical and economic value propositions tailored to customer needs.
  • Support customer demonstrations, trials and validation activities.
  • Maintain an understanding of digital integration, interoperability and connectivity requirements associated with Maternal Infant Care solutions.
  • Provide competitive intelligence and market insights to support business planning.
  • Maintain awareness of developments in fetal monitoring, neonatal monitoring, labour and delivery workflows, family-centred care and maternity care pathways.

Tender & Proposal Suppor t

  • Lead modality-specific content and commercial strategy for tenders and framework opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with bid teams to develop winning proposals.
  • Ensure technical, clinical and commercial responses accurately address customer requirements.
  • Support contract negotiations and customer clarification activities.
  • Ensure proposals effectively communicate value-based procurement principles and outcome-focused solutions.

Internal Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Account Managers to develop account plans and growth strategies.
  • Work with Clinical Applications Specialists to ensure successful customer adoption and utilisation.
  • Support Service & Accessories and Customer Success teams to maximise customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to execute campaigns, launch initiatives and market development activities.
  • Contribute to regional business reviews and strategic planning activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Midwifery, Nursing, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Business, Healthcare Management or equivalent experience.
  • Proven medical device or healthcare technology sales experience.
  • Experience of networking and digital architecture.
  • Experience engaging clinical and procurement stakeholders within hospital environments.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare purchasing processes and tender environments.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding commercial objectives.

Desired Skills

  • Experience within Maternal Infant Care, Fetal Monitoring, Neonatal Care, Labour and Delivery, Women's Health, Critical Care or Acute Care environments.
  • Knowledge of NHS and Private healthcare markets.
  • Experience managing complex capital equipment sales processes.
  • Familiarity with framework agreements, value-based procurement and public procurement processes.
