Our company is seeking skilled workers for production. The ideal candidate for this position must be a self-starter who can communicate effectively with supervisors and other employees.

About Heritage Specialty Foods:

Our company is comprised of two local families and two generations who are joined together by the same mission of supporting our customers with naturally fresh, kettle cooked foods for retail and food service operations.

With over a decade of experience in fresh food manufacturing, we understand the intricate and delicate balance of taking a recipe and producing it on a grand scale while still maintaining the recipe’s integrity.

We take full advantage of the abundance of local ingredients available to us in Portland to create our soups, chilis, chowders, entrées, sauces, marinades, and puddings also including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options and are looking for someone who relates to our company culture to join the team!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all areas of the food manufacturing facility, including prep, kitchen, chill tank room, packaging, and sanitation.
  • Assist in the operation of kitchen equipment, such as kettles, blenders, and filling machines under the supervision of experienced staff.
  • Support production by performing tasks such as filling containers, labeling products, and packaging finished goods.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and production areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste.
  • Assist with inventory management by monitoring ingredient levels, organizing storage areas, and rotating stock as needed.
  • Follow all food safety regulations and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and quality objectives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
