South Mountain Creamery is a dairy farm family- we bottle our own milk and make our own butter, and ice cream. We brought the milkman back in 2001 and have been making home deliveries to the DMV area for over 20 years and counting! We are currently hiring for a Production Associate at the South Mountain Creamery location in Chambersburg, PA.

Our Production Teams are entrusted with the technical process that is cleaning and sanitizing our reusable glass bottles, plastic production line, pasteurizing and bottling the dairy products we all know and love. Think mad chef meets an even madder scientist making the best chocolate milk around.

This position is anticipated to work M-F, 7am - 3:30pm on Monday and 6am - 2:30pm Tuesday - Friday with some flexibility to stay later or come in earlier as requested by management.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• •Operate machinery – Plastic case off line but must be willing to learn other machines as requested
• •Verify that the bottles and products are up to SMC standards
• •Start machinery as needed
• •Operate boxing and labeling machine
• •Complete CIPs
• •Ensures the area is clean

The right person has:

• •Capacity to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating issues that may arise
• •A High School Diploma or equivalent
• •The motivation to work in a team environment - safely
• •A detail-oriented mindset

Requirements

You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while working safely and efficiently

This position requires the incumbent to stand for the entire shift while performing duties

Lifting up to 50lbs from ground level to waist high using proper lifting techniques

Bending and other physical tasks are required.

Candidates should be able to learn quickly, troubleshoot accurately and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
