Production Line Lead - 2nd Shift

Title: Production Line Lead

Terms: Full-time, hourly

Salary/Rate: $30-37/hour DOQ + $2/hour shift differential + BONUSES

Shift: 2nd: 3pm-1am, Mo-Th

Location: Albertville, MN

Qualifications & Skills

Speak, read, and write English fluently

Ability and skill to identify areas of improvement in production processes and other areas

Proficient in basic arithmetic & mathematics

Ability to lift objects weighing up to 55 lb. repeatedly throughout the workday

Integrity and discipline to follow and enforce procedures for operation, safety, and quality

Experience in industrial manufacturing labor and/or warehouse labor

Skilled with mechanical equipment and tools

Ability to lead, mentor, and train other employees in a positive and constructive manner

High-school diploma or greater

2+ years or more of manufacturing experience or similar

Forklift Certification with 1+ years of experience

Basic computer skills

Description & Responsibilities

The Production Line Lead leads a group of 1-4 people to process a variety of dry food materials with a semi-automated food processing system. The environment may be loud, dusty, warm, cold, or smelly. This includes verifying line set up and awareness of quality and productivity drivers. Must lead and set a consistent pace for efficient productivity.

Verify all components of a project are accurate and ready for each production order.

Work with change-over techs and Material Handlers and line operators to calibrate the production line for each production order and perform in-process checks to confirm production meets specifications.

Aid in assembling/disassembling equipment

Share line set up, quality and/or filling specifications with line employees to ensure consistent adherence to specifications and standards so that we ship only excellent product

Assist in training new leads and line employees.

Take charge in meeting production goals/throughputs and report on progress

Communicate shortcomings, challenges, needs, solutions

Leading and operating production line (70-90% of time), changeover assistance (10-20% of time), misc (10-20% of time)
