For over 70 years, Tri-Arc Manufacturing has built state-of-the-art steel and aluminum rolling ladders and configurable platform products. We’re located just 20 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh and proudly carry on the city’s industrial tradition by designing and building our products here in the U.S. As an industry leader, we offer the widest variety and highest quality products, built to help our customers work safely and efficiently.

About the Role

Are you leading a small crew and ready for a bigger challenge? Tri-Arc is looking for a Production Supervisor to step up and lead our shop floor team of Welders, Fabricators, and Machine Operators at our plant in Blawnox, PA. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants more responsibility, and work that’s different every day. You’ll keep production moving, develop your people, and make sure product ships on time, every time. If you have a welding background and have moved into leadership, you’re exactly who we want to hear from. If you enjoy solving problems on the floor, thrive under pressure, and want to grow your career with a company that’s been building quality products for decades, this is for you!

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM. Hours may vary with production needs, including occasional 5:00 AM starts and Saturday's

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the flow of work across the production floor so daily goals are met and orders ship on time
  • Lead, train, and develop your team, including giving regular performance feedback
  • Adjust staffing to meet production needs without sacrificing safety or quality
  • Spend time on the floor every shift, solving problems and removing roadblocks
  • Track key metrics like on-time delivery, productivity, and scrap
  • Manage scheduling, attendance, and timekeeping for your team
  • Work with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Shipping to keep orders moving
  • Promote a strong safety culture and lead continuous improvement efforts (5S, lean)

Requirements

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • A welding background, especially MIG, is a big plus
  • Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Comfortable with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
  • High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends when business requires

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience
  • Medical plan with an HRA that pays most of your deductible
  • Dental and vision coverage
  • $0 virtual urgent care, 24/7 from your phone
  • Company-paid short- and long-term disability
  • Company-paid $50,000 life insurance
  • 401(k) with pre-tax or Roth options: we match 100% of your first 3% plus 50% of the next 2%, fully vested once you’re eligible
  • Paid holidays, vacation, and personal days
  • Steel-toe boot and prescription safety glasses reimbursement
  • Free, confidential support through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
